Don't think so although I have never entered the Apple ecosystem.
If you have Chrome installed then look in the menu and if there is an option for 'Cast...' you are good to go.

As I watch most things through my computer I have never bothered to get a SMART TV I used to have a youtube service on one of the (now aged) devices I have in the front room connected to my TV but it stopped the service, so in order fro me to watch youtube in the front room I invested in Chromecast.........they are so easy to set up and use I plugged it into one of the HDMI ports on my amplifier downloaded the APP for it on my phone followed the instructions and was up and running in 5mins its that simple that an old bu*ger like myself manages to cast youtube from my Samson galaxy phone, £25 brand new from a very popular auction site, well worth the money, its a handy bit of kit! :)
I also just found out when I tried to post this comment that BUG-GER is an unacceptable word on here which in itself is a bit of a BUG-GER!
